Just curious as to who you all think are the snazziest looking artists out there. I know many of us most likely aren't fashionistas, but I think most of us have at least a few who stand out as well dressed.

My choices:

Matthew Bellamy

and I've always been a fan of Froosh's casual, laid back clothes on stage:

Completely off topic for a second, if you'll forgive me, but it happens that Matt Bellamy's guitars are built for him by Hugh Manson - who happens to have a shop near to where I live (sometimes), and which is run and part-owned by none other than the bass player in our high school band, from many moons ago.

The guitars Manson builds for Bellamy are pretty out there, but he also does more straightforward "super-Strat" type pieces: that shop has a wall full of 'em and I gotta tell you, standing in front of them is a spiritual experience. Phenomenal work. More info here:

Sorry for the interruption: back to the thread...

Cheers - C

Define *sharp* :?:

B.B. King most always wears a suit and tie.

Prince has some of Liberace's old wardrobe I think. :?

Brian Setzer likes his glittering lounging jackets and suits.

  :?

The guitars he make seem absolutely amazing. I'm amazed at how many effects and such he builds right into the guitar and some of the finishes he puts on them.

Instead of looking at a bunch of dudes, my fashion critique would go more along the lines of...

Image
Sheryl Crow (over 40 and still hot)

Image
Michele Branch

Image
Terri Nunn (Berlin) - pop star from the 80's and looks better than ever

Image
Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star)

Image
Nelly Furtado

Clapton and SRV were usually dressed decent. The ripped worn torn look may be popular today but in my opinion I feel its dirty looking to play on stage or on TV dressed in clothes with holes in them.
