Is it any thing like a Flying leap? Or maybe it's like taking a flying **** at a rolling doughnut.

Maybe he was going to type "Flying P Bass" but passed out from too many beers before he could finish.

Yes...yes...the word flying is an expletive...that can be eliminated.
So if this is not a joke he's pulling.
Still a bit vague but his question might be

' How can I modify the bridge on my Fender P-Bass ?'
or is he saying.
' Am I the only guy who has to modify the bridge on his Fender P-Bass ?'

I knew a friend who had a 'Screamin' P'. The doctor gave him Penicillin for it.

Y'know the "mystery of the Flying P" has spawned a pretty interesting little thread.

Maybe the P stands for Peace. The Flying Peace with a glued AND bolted neck. :D

Welcome to the Forums Jake Peden, I am no Bass specialist, but you might encounter more Bass gurus in any of the official Bass Forums.

This makes me think Fender should make a cool body shape for a bass with Precision bass specs. That would be awsome.

"I don't give a flying P for this Squier bass!"

Hi Jake. I presume you've lowered your saddles at the bridge and now have buzz from the frets? Then you've made that action too low, I'm afraid. Take a look at the setup guide to find how to return it to factory specs:

http://www.fender.com/support/

You can get away with lowering the action a bit from those specs, but bass strings need plenty of room to vibrate so it ain't ever going to feel like a shredder's guitar.

It's just the nature of the beast.

Cheers - C
