I'm just starting to ctually go over it now even though im dead tired after a 12 hour night shift, but its looking like a pretty crazy axe! I mean if you wanna call it an axe, it's more like an entire chop and shred logging machine. But is it too much? Robots to do the tuning is one thing, but making your guitar your portable Garage Band (macprgm) is another. Is it still a guitar?

Way too much B.S. for me. Next they will be putting out a guitar that plays itself for you so that all you have to do is stand there holding it.

I've never liked a guitar with a lot of gadgets.
Too much to go wrong.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a huge fan of it. I mean the idea is kinda cool but I definately think it's to much. I would like to think that when I can play i'll be able to just pick up a guitar and kill it...not read a manual for a week and install a program on my computer. This guitar is pretty ridiculous though I mean one of its main sellers is Best Buy in the States, so atleast they are targeting the Dark Fire customer somewhat well haha.

I think gibson have took their time over it, how long has the VG been on sale to the public?. Fender are after all their direct competition. They could well have made a good job of it. The robot guitars were probably a tester, to see how the market responded.
You'd need to try one for a week though to see how all the stuff works.
Its not for me.

I don't like it. I like technology and all, but there are some things that just shouldn't change, like making a guitar a freakin' video game controller.
I feel it takes away from the musicianship. We should learn to tune to different tunings by ear, we should be able to PLAY the guitar, not have it make us sound better through artificial means.
If we can't play good enough to sound like a real musician, I guess we could turn to a computer software driven hunk of wood to do it for us.
Am I venting too much? Sorry!
