This is sort of like a partner to the beatles/pink floyd thread.

WHich trio do you prefer as a group:

Cream

or

the Experience?

I like both, because cream paved the way (it was the first power trio) but i also like the experience because... well you can figure that out :)

Mitchell and hendrix seem to make a nice pair

What happened to Redding suddenly ?

I can't split these, they both offered so much and led the way into another zone in rock music history.

What I was wondering was, we were talking about trio's.
And then we were considering a pair. :D
That's all, I was confused. :? Never mind, carry on.

I'm with bowlfreshener and Martian. I hadn't thought of Jeff Beck, Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice in a long time. I do regularly listen to Blue Cheer's Vincebus Eruptum. blue Cheer was probably the first ever thrash metal band. Just listen to a live version of Parchman Farm. How about Super Session with Al Kooper, Steve Stills and Mike Bloomfield?
