moon. :? Honestly, if your going to represent a band at least know their music.[/quote]

It's likely that the wearer was simply taking advantage of a stylish shirt with no conscious connection to the creators in his mind whatsoever.

It's kind of strange to compare those two bands...

I try to avoid comparing any band to another.
I love Pink Floyd and consider The Wall my favorite album I've ever heard.
I love The Beatles and almost every song I've heard from them.

They are both favorites, so...I dunno.

Beatles up to Revolver - at least they redeemed themselves with Abbey Road

Pink Floyd up to Meddle - unfortunately these guys never did.

Although DSOM grew on me, Sgt Peppers/White Album never did (this doesn't count the soundtracks, MM & Yellow Sub, which were also GREAT!)

IMO of course!

I'm going to have to go with The Beatles.

No question.
Pink Floyd

The Beatles were a great "pop" group but that's as far as it goes for me.

The Floyd on the other hand pushed the limits from the beginning.

Beatles.

In a hundred years, Floyd will be an e-archival footnote to 20th century music.

Easy one for me. Except for George Harrison, I have no use for the Beatles.

Pink Floyd - now that's another story entirely...

Pink Floyd it is!!

Both - they're both amazing bands. I'd have to side with The Beatles overall though because they evolved their music so proficiently, effectively re-inventing their style every year or so.

But what I don't understand is how The Beatles get called "pop" music. I mean, sure, that's how they started out, but there's no way on earth you can call some of their songs "pop".

Come Together - pop?
Tomorrow never Knows - pop?
It's All Too Much - pop?
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - pop?
Helter Skelter - pop?
Revolution - pop?
Revolution #9 - pop?

The list goes on.

In my experience, most people who say they don't like The Beatles don't even know The Beatles except the really well-known songs - and it's the other stuff which is really important IMHO.

Of course, everyone's entitled not to like The Beatles, but it should always be borne in mind they did amazing tracks that you don't hear publically, before writing them off.

But Pink Floyd are still a fantastic band. :)

I really get tired of these nonsensical either/or quizzes. Who plays better with a mangled hand--Django Reinhardt or Tommy Iommi? Would you rather have priapism or Tourette's Syndrome? Did you walk to work or take your lunch? Enough!

How did the Beatles get the Pop Moniker?
I wanna Hold Your Hand
Eight Days A Week
And I Love Her
I saw Her Standing There
Love Me Do
Hard Days Night
Drive My Car
Help!

There's nothing wrong with Pop music, it's produced some of the best music in History. Like,
The Who
The Yardbirds
The Rolling Stones
Jimi Hendrix
Janis Joplin

Interesting! How our ages and generations are defined by our musical preferences.

All I can say is the truth is constant and never changing no matter what the fad of the day is! And they exposed it after their search within and without! Even Sexy Sadie was exposed! 8)
