My apology to all - it is Johnny Winter - no S at the end............................of course if you are talking of Johnny and Edgar at the same time then it would be the Winters brothers - the S included, but you all probably know that......................

Johnny is one of my favorite slide players--he does a great job with that.

As for Edgar--Every now & then it's kind of hard to tell, but he's still alive & well.

(Okay--that was Johnny's song & Rick Derringer's--but you get the idea.)

Humm... Johnny Winter was one of my favorites. I have so many of his LP's it's not funny. I liked Edgar too, but Johnny was the guitar player, so...

I saw Johnny Winter And... back in the 70's. Great show. I'm guessing he does smaller things now. I forget who else was on the bill. That was back in the great band boom in the late 60's early 70's. I was also crazy about Ten Years After when I was young. I used to think I was progressing pretty well on guitar until I heard stuff like that.

He wasn't looking too good about a year ago when I snapped this pic...

He had some health problems that prevented him from performing for a while. In the 2007 Crossroads DVD someone had to help him off the stage and carry his guitar. I assumed he was having trouble walking, but maybe it was his eyesight as mentioned earlier.
