My son is managing a band of some of his friends. They are called Skally Cap Mafia. I didn't realize that "Ska" was so popular amoung college kids these days.

Check out Skally Cap Mafia :

Some of the more purish ska stuff like the "We Are The Party", as well as the more Less Than Jake inspired "Noise and Fun", and a 3rd wave staple, the punk-chorus ska-verse "The Cookie Song". And an instrumental ska cover to boot in "Biscuit Case"!

I used to listen to ska quite a bit in high school. Mostly Reel Big Fish. I used to improve with it with my trumpet. Way before I got into guitar.

The guitar player from Save Ferris has a ska band called Starpool now. He was the main songwriter in Save Ferris. Starpool Records as the name Save Ferris used when they self released they're first ep before they were signed to MCA (I think it wsa MCA).

I absolutely love ska, especially the first and second waves. I was never too fond of third wave though(with the exception of op ivy). Some of my favorites:
Toots & The Maytals
Desmond Dekker
The Specials
Prince Buster
Operation Ivy

The Specials are amazing and Operation Ivy is a top 10 must have CD. Aaron From Reel Big Fish is a great guitar player.
