What are some of the classical composers songs that
influenced Yngwie?

I'd like to purchase more sheet music and then turn it into metal or a
melodic contemporary version.

My childhood music teacher detested that I converted classical music.

Can't imagine how she'd react to Ynwgie

Welcome to the Forum. Your teacher would be shocked if you turned a classical piece into a comtemporary hit. Don`t let her influence stop you from your own version. Her job is to give you a good foundation, its up to you to do something with it. I`m sorry I can`t answer you on who Yngwie`s classical influences were but I`m sure you`ll get more responses on this thread. Good luck, You can try going to a music store and ask a salesman, they may be able to help.

Hi,
I've seen him refer to Bach and Mozart, it looks like composers from the baroque era merging into classical. He, himself fits into the neo classical genre. I don't know too much about him, others could probably help more.
You probably have this but if not, he gives some interviews and various snippets of information here.

I know that he cites Paganini as his greatest influence and he named his son after Vivaldi. That's all I know...

Hi, i'm new here.
Don't you find a lot of Yngwie's stuff a little repetetive?
No offense to the many Yngwie fans, im a fan myself, but the playing on his earlier stuff is just run after run of arpeggios and lots of sweep picking.
Some of his stuff is very bluesy felt, and i prefer that.

Paganini - Paganini - Paganini

When you hear him, you will know why. He is the shred king of classical music.

Paganini's first name was Niccolo. Vivaldi's was Antonio...

If you hear Yngwie's song from 1984 album Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force till now, 2008 Perpetual Flame, there are some songs he composed with some classical pieces:

-Evil Eye - Bouree (Intro)
-Icarus Dream Suite - Albinoni's Adagio
-Prisoner of Your Love (he used Bach's "Air" for chorus)
-He played Vivaldi's Cantabile Opus 10 in Magnum Opus album
-He put Paganini's 24th Caprice for solo opening on "Prophet of Doom"
in War to End All Wars album
-He played Bach's Air in Attack album
-He played Bach's Fuguetta and Paraphrase in Unleash the Fury album
-He played Beethoven 5th symphony for guitar solo (early years)
-He played Bach's Badinerie for guitar solo (since Mats Olausson joined)
