Today marks the day 41 years ago that Otis Redding was taken away. For someone only 27 years old, he sure made an impact! Take a look at this:

Co-written by Otis and Steve Cropper.

Thanks, Otis, For the Classic additions to out life's soundtracks.

Otis Redding is one of my all time favorite R&B Singers, specially his work with Carla Thomas. "Tramp" is always in my MP3 mix.

Cropper, Dunn, the whole band looks so young, but they brought it! 8)

Otis Redding was a great inspiration to me and my band in the sixties, he will always be remembered by us. Great vocals, great performer, great guy.

"Dock of the Bay"...its intricate, poetic simplicity and depth was pure lyrical genius.

So apropos, the song has become immortal.
