Ah, I mistook where this thread would be going. 8 lb 1 oz - I was thinking, "that's heavier than my Tele, but not too bad..."

But we're talking babies. I see: well, CONGRATULATIONS!

Now buy that kid a Strat. Someone here celebrated the birth of a child by getting him a guitar of that year, which seems very cool. I'd love to have a Strat the same age as me. It would be worth a fortune!

Welcome to the world, Jayro Jr Jr.

Cheers - C

Jayro, that is awesome! Congrats! Now you can spoil the heck out of him and turn him back over to his parents! Isn't that what Grandparents are supposed to do? :)

CONGRATS!!! I bet you're thrilled!! I know I would be if I became a father/grandfather...not at the age of 16 (my age), but in those later years of course. :D

Congratulations, I'm a Grandpa twice over and there's nothing like it!

You may have heard this old saying: "The greatest thing about being a grandparent is that the kids go home at night." Well, I love my Grandkids to pieces. Yet, I do have to tell you something... The above saying is true. You'll eventually find it tough trying to keep up with their pace, believe me.

On the other hand, I find that they are growing up even faster than my own kid did. So, savor every moment. And don't forget, it's your job to spoil him rotten, regardless of what his parents tell you.

What a young grampa! Many congrats!! I'm sure you will spoil the wee lad absolutely rotten - after all, that IS your job now.

Love your family.
