That's right, we are pleased to announce the much anticipated return of Fender University! The next session is scheduled for March 4th to 8th, 2009.

Fender University is an exclusive music education program for guitar and bass enthusiasts worldwide. The program offers exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to Fender’s manufacturing headquarters and world-renowned Fender Custom Shop, in addition to a series of music workshops, hands-on educational experiences, performance opportunities and special guest appearances.

Enrollment is limited to 25 guitar and bass scholars worldwide, and is open to players of all skill levels and musical styles. Additionally, it offers an exciting and unique opportunity to share in the legacy of Fender® through a hands-on, direct experience with Fender products and people.

“We’re opening our doors to guitar and bass enthusiasts worldwide, and asking them to become part of what Fender is all about,” said Richard McDonald, honorary dean of Fender University and senior vice president of global marketing for Fender. “Whether your passion is playing, building, listening or simply learning more about guitars – there’s no better place on earth to absorb all things ‘Fender’ than at Fender University.”

This unique program is an immersion in the SPIRIT OF ROCK-N-ROLL®. Past courses at Fender University have included interactive workshops, intimate performances and special appearances by guitar heroes such as Yngwie Malmsteen, John 5, Dweezil Zappa, Greg Koch, Willy Porter, Jeff Kollman, Reggie Hamilton and Tony Franklin.

Registration for the spring session is open now and closes Feb. 4, 2009. More information and program registration is available through the program website at http://www.fender.com/university.

Love to go. Trip...I mean class is too expensive. Maybe next semester. Someone should see about tuition assistance for this course.

I have stayed at the hotel (The Mission Inn) and it's the best place I have ever stayed. It's a place you can just hang out at and chill after hours and soak up the vibe.

Hey, maybe I should think about this :)

I would love to do this course, circumstances prevent unfortunately. I'm sure the lucky 25 will have a blast, I look forward to hearing all about it on these boards.
