Hey man!! If your names Bender, check these out.

Oh, man: I thought I was a Fender guy (with Gibson moments) - until I saw the Bender Guitars which Rhumba linked to.

Now I may have to rethink: these are tempting, very tempting...:

Have happily played a number of nameplates over time.

Different moods, different genres of music, different manufacturers, instruments, sub-families (solid, hollow, acoustic, bass....) and amps. Variety is a beautiful and exciting concept.

The only thing I like about Gibsons is the scale length. I'm trying to find one of those Squire Vingate Modified Thinlines for just that reason, not to mention that there is a lot of buzz about them in general. I wish that Fender would make more 24.75" scale necks as an option.

I'm certainly not fond of the Gibson price tags.

Hey Ceri,
The guy who makes these guitars is the best luthier I've ever come across, he has worked on a few of my guitars and I have always found his pricing 'competitive' He lives about 7 miles from me and has built guitars for quite a few nationally known guys.
Cheers Rhumba

Hi man: Nearby luthiers? Andy Manson, who built this mermaid guitar, lives just up the road. But I'm not sure I'd let him loose on my guitars. No telling what you'd get back...

i could only afford one good guitar fender is the one i picked happy that i did

still can't afford a nice guitar, so when a telecaster was given to me, i didn't argue. as of today, it's my favorite. i love the range of sound it produces between the two pick-ups.

Hi Ceri,
HaHa, I don't think I'd want one of mine coming back looking like that but it looks like a great piece of craftmanship. I wouldn't know how to approach picking that up, never mind playing it.
Thanks for the pic. I love looking at these unusual axes, they are good fun.
But would I buy one ?...............ermmmm....

Over the years I've owned:

Fenders (3 Strats, an HM Strat, and a Tele)
Gibsons ( 2 SG's, a LesPaul, and a 335)
Ibanez(s?) (an Artist and an Iceman)
BC Richs (a Bich and a Strat clone)
Charvels (a San Dimas era Strat Clone) (kinda whish I'd held on to this one now)
Chandlers (early 80's shred machine)

I keep getting rid of everything except the Fenders so I think it's safe to say that I'm a Fenderman. The others played well enough and sounded good but just didn't capture my heart the way the Fenders did.

I am definately a Fender Guy! 2 months ago I traded in an Ibanez Artcore I never played. I was going to buy a lower end PRS or a Reverend Warhawk and I went home with an American Strat. I had been playing an American Tele for years and there is a noticable difference to me. I have a Squier Jagmaster under the bed until Christmas!! I can hardly wait!!
I've tried Gibsons and they just don't feel right.

Fender - there seems to be a tone that is unreachable with anything else...............
