That just sucks. I'd go into some sort of REALLY deep funk if someone told me I couldn't play guitar any more. :(

If that was my kid, I'd move out of that state. Kid needs a record deal.

They should bring that kid to NYC or Tennesse and give him an audition in a recording studio. He`ll be making deals on his own terms. Death threats because of talent is jealousy.

That is just wrong. First someone, probably a christian fundamentalist, sends a death threat and then the state says that he can't perfrom even though he's accompanied by his parents when he's performing? This kid has a natural talent which needs to be nutured and showcased, not to be locked in a room at home. If I was the family I would move out of state and relocate to where he would be appreciated and noticed, like maybe California?

Amen brother. I agree totally. I think this kid needs a record deal. Real talent. We'll be seeing a lot more of him as long as the state he lives in does not stifle him to quit playing.

He's got the gift and they want to squash it?
I just don't understand that.

What about all the other child stars performing out there?
Must admit I don't know how the individual states work withing the entire US, but if moving to a different one would help think I would be planning a relocation of the family.

I agree with everything you said, EXCEPT the part, "probably a christian fundamentalist,".

Whoever that person is may "call" themselves a Christian, but they sure aren't acting like one. Especially considering the boys age.

I live in what is called the 'buckle' of the Bible belt. A LOT of religious influence here. The real Christians would welcome him here. (and probably help him any way they could) However, we also have some 'legalistic' people that go to church every time the doors are open, and call themselves Christians. Those you have to watch out for.

With no more to go on than that video news report, I would lean toward the view that somebody is jealous, or somebody lost a gig that the boy got.(money) Most things go back to greed (money), and jealousy, In my opinion.

As for Christians (the few real ones) - from what I've seen, most want to help others. The problem comes in when some 'preach' to people that don't want to hear it. Then those people get violent toward the Christians. And that I have trouble understanding "why?". Those same people use words much worse than the Christian use. So "Why?" are they so mad at the Christian?

Anyway, whoever stopped him from using and developing his talent was WRONG! That's for sure! And that law should be repealed.

Like some have said - the family should move to a more friendly area. Most people are friendly here in Tennessee. (hint - in case they see this) But like anywhere else, we have a few bad ones too.

Man, that sucks! If I were to be stopped from playing music I'd go all monkey on em! Jeez, now this is what they call em' blues, not being able to let people feel ya when they too need the music. Sucks pretty bad. Guys, letz go sit down , plug in our guitars, and play em blues cause we feel this kid. So we share his blues kay? (goes and jams to crossroads)

That kid is Mojo Personified, and while I agree that he's getting a raw deal from his jealous competitors, he's learning a very important lesson about the music biz. It's cut-throat, dark, and Dirty.

He's got the right attitude. I'm bettin' he'll be the Ricky Scaggs of the Blues inspite of the raving loonies that want to keep him down.
