I don't own an Orange, but I've played on them. Nice amps, very vintage sounding.

I currently own a Fender Super, a Mesa Boogie Rectoverb, and a 67 Univox (along with a few others).

There is also a nice article in the December issue of Guitar (U.K. Mag) about the new OR50 that Orange released for it's 40th anniversary this year.

I used to have an Orange Micro amp, I managed to blow it up though  On a more serious note, they do have a very good reputation here. Go and demo a few, see what you think 8)

I've played their "Tiny Terror". It's pricey for a practice amp but it's alot of fun. sounds good and looks real neat.

Rhumba, is that the old 67-74 OR120? Their on my absolute wish list of all amps to own. Their only 2nd place to the 66 marshall 45.

If you've still got it, i'd quite happily swap my gran, a good woman and my dog for it. All with paperwork and recent had their shots :D

That the same thing I thought when I read that ( Practice Amp)
That Orange Tiny Terror sells for like 5 bills and can scream. The head is 15 watt and I think the combo is 7-15 watt

Yeah fellas I'll say it slower so that it's clear . . . P R A C T I C E A M P :D
15 watts is great for playing in your living room, or bedroom, or some other small room (at least in my book). Maybe it's great for the church sing along too. But if you are going to 'play out' to a decent size room, 15 watts ain't gonna cut it, not with a serious bass player and drummer involved.

I wasn't bagging on the Tiny Terror. As I said in my initial post, it's really neat. I just think that for a cute little amp with no frills it's kinda pricey.

Hey man,
Sorry about the delay in getting back, I was just browsing through and noticed your query.
Well, straight to the bad news. No, I sadly ( extremely sadly ) haven't got it now, it was superb. Circumstances forced me to sell ( like short of bread, you know ? )
Yes! it was an early 70's but it was actually a bass amp, not that that really matters.
A local band that I had known from the sixties, were calling it a day, round about 1976 ish. and they were selling off their gear. I bought the amp off the bass player and a stunning John Birch ( blue sunburst, les paul dc style, 24 fret maple, humbuckers with coil taps ) guitar off the guitarist.
Can you believe, both for 300 dabs ?
I had to sell them both many years later but for a lot more than 300 quids.
Anyway I would rather still have both of them, than the money but life goes on doesn't it. We just have to get on with it.
Thanks for asking, I might have been interested in the dog.
Cheers.
