I just got my first eletric guitar, completely out of the blue! A Sunburst Squier Bulet Strat, tiny amp and a Ibanez strap 8) . Pics MIGHT be comeing sometime in the future.

Soooo, the wammy bar is kinda tight... as in you can't really use it because it doesn't DO anything. Any help?

But other than that, it's perfect. Marry Christmas Jonathan.

PB56,

Congrats on your new gear. Is the selector switch a 3 position or 5?

Okay, so with the switch pointed towards the neck, that is position one. With that in mind, here you go:

Position 1 Neck Pickup
Position 2 Neck and Middle Pickup
Position 3 Middle Pickup
Position 4 Middle and Bridge Pickup
Position 5 Bridge Pickup

I hope this helps. Rock on!

Have you tried unscrewing the whammy bar to loosen it up? It could be just too tight in the bridge.

Or maybe if there are 5 springs on the trem claw and trem, taking 1 or 2 of those out?

Take off the back cover and loosen the trem claw slightly (there are screws in it that attach it to the body). Go in small increments loosening the screws evenly. You'll need to retune and reintonate once the trem is a bit looser but you will be able to use it.

Hope this helps,
Mark
