Where's that link to the Gilmour effects chain. It was buried in someone's post and I can't seem to find it :?

Thanks.

Doc

is it the "Tone From Heaven" site you are looking for Doc?

If so here it is: http://home.comcast.net/~jroscoe/index2.html

I'll just let you take it from here. It was you who originally posted the other link too. I'm not really a Gilmour nut

Thanks for both your efforts. I know Gilmourish. There's valuable info there for sure. It appears that I incorrectly committed to memory, the one I was looking for.

Oh, and by the way, remember my comments way back in the dim recesses of recorded time regarding the quest for tone. If reading this stuff doesn't call for a bottle of Kentucky Sour Mash between paragraphs, I don't what will :P

The quest for the tone....... I've been on that for as long as I've been in to the guitar, a fascinating journey too. Even tonight, experimenting with my pedals, it's been a blast. Something else occured to me today, I have a couple of pods (pocket & X3) as well as my spider jam amp. I love them to bits and they're lots of fun, but there is just something special about this BJ amp and individual pedals. I guess that's part and parcel of the quest, I'm getting close 8)

When I say close, I mean close to the sound I want Doc. I can get a Floydy type sound going with my gear, I just can't play as well as Mr Gilmour  I'm off to take a look at the site you mentioned, hope all is well with you and yours.

By all means, do share your recipe for 'brownies with the proper ingredients.' Perhaps I can whip it up on my Line 6 Ax2.

"Alice B. Toklas" certainly did not have the lock on same, and we can all become comfortably numb at will.

Nah! It's extremely enlightening as to how sophisticated and neatly assembled this new signal chain is. You really need to check it out. Besides which, if you order it now, and subsequently declared bankruptcy, at least under US law you don't have to pay for it.

Is there still a UK version of Botany Bay

A friend of mine plays in a top-shelf Pink Floyd Tribute band (they do this for love, and do other gigs for the money)...they call the band, Pink Voyd, and they have some interesting links here :
