Some guitarists palm their pick while they fingerpick, then go back to the pick. Some use odd picks--like one on a "mini bungy type chord" that loops around your finger--so you can drop it for finger picking but you can yank it back up to use the pick.

Or, if you were Joe Pass you would stick it in your mouth. Actually I think he clinched it with his teeth.

Well, you could play a little lower and use "something else", but you'd probably be using only downstrokes.

Not sure you'd want to get too carried away with the alternate picking in THAT scenario!

I'm with you Snowy as I only use the V-pick. My favorite is the large rounded one. Stay cool brother! 8)

Wow, lots of V-pick fans. They are expensive. Are they that much better than a good 'ol Fender medium?

Yes, without a doubt. I've given a few to friends, they are converted now. It really is a cool range that the dude Vinni does, the difference between these and any other picks I've used in the past is vast (I feel some lyrics coming on  ) Give them a try, that's the only way you're gonna find out.

I used to think that way about the Min'd pick (agate)--but that changed after a few years.

Bur ultimately it is good to experiment and sue what works best for the song.

My cats' breath smells of Polo by Ralph Lauren. All depends what you feed them on, I guess.

Thumb and fingers for me. I thought I was a freak till I discovered Mark Knopfler and Jeff Beck are the same. Now I KNOW I'm a freak!

Wow! Are Vpicks so expensive that a free one is a nice gift? I haven't found them in any local stores so I don't know the price. I've heard they are expensive, but just how expensive can a pick be?

Anyone tell me?
