What do you think was this strangest topic or odd topic that just seem to take off and get post after post and you just scatch your head and think WOW I did not think this would be so popular :?:

Me I think it was the WD40 topic That was great!

Really it wasn't one thread, but the number of threads that sprouted up about John Mayer a few months ago. He seemed to be subject of every other thread

The one about the fourth character in the Mexi Strat serial # indicating the tonal qualities of the guitar. There was a whole lot of brain burning seemed to be going on over that one, and I don't think it's really resolved yet. A pretty interesting platform though, with some very well thought out ideas.

Yes, WD40 was an excellent one!

And another was just in the last couple of days when one moment Niki was asking where Ian Sheridan had got to and the next we were discussing heating fuels in America, Britain and Ireland. Er - wot?

And another good one was when a gentleman asked an interesting question about three-way switches, and within a few pages we were talking about all going round to Ian Sheridan's house late at night and drinking too much beer and eating doner kebabs!

Interesting: there is one unifying factor in all those threads. The name: Ian Sheridan. That fella's trouble, isn't he?

Yeah I just caved in and posted on that one today...

I thought the farting into an acoustic one was pretty funny and strange, but that one got shut down...

Yeah, I think so. Some people clearly don't like it when threads shoot off at silly tangents, so I guess we have to keep it within bounds. But I reckon so long as someone's question got a reasonable answer first then a bit of jokey stuff is OK sometimes...?

Now, where can we take this thread? This one's kinda askin' for it, ain't it?

Well, only in the friendliest possible tones - but yes, that sparkly thong is kinda provocative, ain't it?
