Hello Irishmike203,

They are a good value at their
low price. I remember when
forum friend SecretSoundzs
got his, he liked it a lot.

Cheers.

I had the Squier Tele and sold it the other day to upgrade to a MIM Strat with Texas Specials. The Tele is an awesome guitar for $ 180 new and I would never have sold it if I had more room to store it. The one I had was made in China and I was very surprised at how good it was made. The neck has large frets and it was a pleasure to play. Those Teles have their own distinct sound you can`t get from a Strat.

One of my nephew's kids has one of those and I like the sound of the neck pup in that guitar. It looks pretty good too.

The neck seemed to lose it's pale color and shows more tint these days from being exposed to the sun through the windows I think?

You can try Ebay or Craigslist for a used guitar. I`ve bought guitars and amps on both and had good luck with them.

would it be possible to go to a pawn shop and possibly find a cheap mim and then take it to guitar center and let their specialist fix it up real nice

Yes, possible, but I'd rather pick up a want ad or classified mag and find one to go try...I've seen many in the want-ads for sale.

I've never seen a "specialist" at a GC. :?

Good luck!

Kinda like the Precision bass vs. the Jazz bass.

Anyway, the Squier's in general are a great value. I can speak from their Vintage Modified Series, you can't beat these instruments for the dollar.
