I heard of this Black Friday' and that you can buy stuff, like guitars, insanely cheap on the internet.

Anyone know anything about it?

Black Friday the Day after Thanksgiving Many stores have sales because it is the start of the Holliday shopping season and many are off work for a long weekend. I just got a 10.00 card from GC in the mail to use in store this weekend. Still have to read it to see what ties there are on it use but just looking it looks like a 10.00 gift card. I will be reading the rest of the info tonight. Might just use towards a pedal.

Hello Dgonz,

They call it black bacause it will put the
retailers "in the black"
inkwise this translates into postive sales.
"in the red" translates into a loss.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Yes this is the time of year they all hope to turn on the profits. Seems the media realy pushes the use of the term. This years Black Friday falls late in the Month but it can be as early as 23. Also I think its original use had something to do with heavy travel.

That's when all the greedy idiots get up at 3 in the morning to go X-mas shopping for fear that they won't be able to get what they want. I find it to be stupid if you ask me.

That does happen with some things. If you are not ther all night you will not get it. Been there done that ( Play Station 2 and 3) and ( Nintendo 360)
the things we do for kids but I have to admit I have a few of these toy myself. We have (1=60GB PS30)+(2=80GB PS3) and ordered a (160GB PS30) they are not just Game players but they are the best Blu Ray players there are. There were many times when I spent the night to get Concert tickets back in the days when you had to go to a ticket office to get them even so to get you kid a toy why not. Heck last year I slip a dude 50.00 the night before the release of a PSP Bundle for a gift because they were only going to have 10 at the store and I did not want to try and get one because there were people already there waiting. Kid made himself 50 and I didn't have to wait. I no it was bad

I just recieved my BF email notification from GC and it doesn't seem to be as nice as last years. They are offering 15 percent on Friday and 10 percent on Sat and Sun. Maybe they will still give 20% on one guitar on Friday. FINGERSCROSSED:emoticon.

Did you get your 10.00 Gift Card in the mail the other day to be used in store this weekend?

I worked at a farm store (Blain's Farm and Fleet) during Black Friday one year. I had to show up early and get through the lines of freezing people waiting to purge the store of our wares. It was not fun.

I haven't received any 10 dollar gift card either. But I doubt it will combine with other deals. No biggie though. I can make a seperate purchase, that is like free strings and picks and whatnot.

I am not there greatest fan anyway. I would guess I may have spent like 5 bills there this year. I might go there and look at a new pedal board.
