As much as I REALLY HATE to admit it, the George Michaels "Last Christmas" song sticks in my head for days if I happen to catch that on the radio, not that it's my favorite.

My least favorites are...

- Paul McCartney's "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time". I want to gouge my eyes out with forks when I hear that infernal synth-bass line. I'm getting warm and violent now just thinking about it, so I'll move on to...

- Beach Boys "Oooooooo, Little Saint Nick!!!". Dear Lord, that's horrible. Sounds like they're singing to their "pet" gerbil that's about to get taped up, more than some old white dude in a beard. Horrifying.

Some of my faves....

- Greensleeves, or one of the hundred other names this song has. Screw the lyrics, the acoustic guitar to this is beautiful, and just a great piece of music when played right.

- Christmas Time Is Here by Vince Guaraldi, the instrumental. Beautiful music.

- Oh Christmas Tree by the Vince Guaraldi Trio. I remember these last two from the old Charlie Brown cartoons.

cool jazzy music to improv to. love it....

I don't go much on Christmas songs but there is one that comes to mind.
That one that Greg Lake did. It was a rip-off from a Prokofiev thing.
Yeah !! I remember it now. ' I Believe in Father Christmas '

Hello Spiritinthesky,

I'm with contrabassist on this one.
Been singing that song since
I was pretty young.

Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" is
also an annual Yule Favorite.

Cheers.

Not a song, I know, but I still get a laugh when I hear Cheech and Chong's 'Santa Claus and His Old Lady.'

"Oh, yeah, man. I played with those dudes, man."
