There's nothing wrong with the SP-15 amp, to start with. I have an SP-10, and I still use it for certain things. There's no need to get anything bigger until you want to perform with it. I graduated to an Epiphone Valve Junior half-stack, which I quite like.

As far as the guitar, learn to use it. Then worry about buying another one.

That said, I know you won't, because I can barely play and I've got six.

I always want a new shiny guitar. You can buy one today and within 6 months or less you'll want another new guitar. It's an addiction. I love my addiction. Keep playing and have fun.

Yeah dude, I'm another student of guitar in training... my knowledge is limited so far

just from looking at the forum here and looking at pictures, i've already picked out several other guitars i'll attempt to own before I die.

'52 telecaster
'72 telecaster in all black
Billy Corgan SE Stratocaster
Gibson Les Paul

I've also seen some custom set-ups and paint jobs I'd like to make to my current Strat. I guess it also helps that my friend is a luthier.
