I have a question....I bet CAFeathers knows...

I want to know if you can put a Bigsby on an acoustic guitar.
I almost bought a rare Gretsch acoustic and I was going to put a Bigsby on it. I think I might get it for Christmas. This is a pic of my dads acoustic hollow body thing. I know it was a Hagstrom and he put a Bigsby on it.

Please and Thanks!

It would still depend on the bracing in the guitar. I would take it to a tech.

If you go with a Bigsby, you will learn about tuning problems.
Been there / Done that!

Why put a top stressing Bigsby on a rare acoustic? I'd experiment on something a bit cheaper first.

But thats just me.

I never thought about putting a Bigsby on an acoustic, but now that it's come up I might try it. I've got just the guitar for it.

I have one on a partscaster tele and a gretsch 6120W 57. They are great, if you use them.
