I've got some money coming my way and I'm seriously considering this guitar. It's a Gretsch so I hope I don't catch too much flak from you guys. :D

No flak here ... I like it. And chambered guitars sound like nothing else.

From the description and price it sounds good. Have you had any opportunity to play it at a local retailer yet? That may be a good idea.

What price ?? Yeah I would definitely go for that. I have a chambered guitar and man, they are a cool axe. Looks superb. I have a Gretsch hollow body Electromatic and it's got a knockout sound, good action too.
Good luck.

Gretschs are cool.
My buddy has one of these and it plays really nicely. Goog feel and sound.

I have not yet had the opportunity to play one yet but I did play a Jet just the past week or so. I've gotten word from the closest Guitar Center to me that they do have one so if I do buy it it will be from there. It's 2 hours away though. :(

Looks a little Les Paul-ish. Have you played it yet? I've played around with a couple of Gretsches, and I've been favorably impressed. The price isn't too bad either. If it plays well, it might make a nice addition to your guitar arsenal.

Now that I've clicked the link, I'll have to fight off a G.A.S. attack, on my end. Chambered mahogany body, set-in mahogany neck and mini humbuckers? That Gretsch sounds like a tone monster, but with some manners. I'll throw in my $0.02 here, and say BUY IT! And enjoy it. :)

Matt

It's a Les Paul - but made by Fender! What's not to like?

I feel sure I've seen it in red, too. Hot!

Buy. Buy. Buy.

Hope that's not too subliminal for you...

Cheers - C

You'll get no argument from me. I took the Gretsch Electromatic plunge twice. I liked the 5120 so much that I couldn't resist adding the Pro Jet.

They're both excellent guitars for the money.
