There will be 3 generations at our house - myself, and my daughters family, which includes 2 teens - one a senior in HS and one a sophomore at College.

We all have a part in gathering (shopping), preparing and cooking the meal - my daughter is in charge. I end up being the mashed potato and yams guy, and the carver of the large bird.

We will be having some guests this year, so it will be a crowded house.

We will be doing baking before hand so that the desert pies will be ready the day before - pumpkin, mince, and we haven't chosen between apple or something else yet.

A good time should be had by all.

This year we are spending Thanksgiving with my wife's side of the family (we alternate years/families). Her niece (my niece-in-law?) will be hosting at her home in Danville. There will be four generations, ages 12 to 93, with a total at last count of 22. Two turkeys, one in the oven and one on the rotisserie, and I have been informed that I will be in charge of the rotisserie bird! A lot of pressure, I know, but I think I'm up to it.

Besides the eating, there will be a touch football game at the neighbor park, football games on the TV, and with multiple guitarists, piano, mando, and percussion, some homemade jams!

We'll be heading down Wednesday afternoon to help with food prep and setup, and to get an early start on Thursday's main event. I'll be sure to give a honk of the horn to Chet as we pass through Vacaville!

My wife and I will be hosting both of our families for Thanksgiving. My wife is one of seven children and I am one of 4 children. There will be 4 generations with a total headcount of 42. We will be preparing three Turkeys one smoked one roasted and one fried. Everyone else provides all the side dishes and deserts. We have a fantastic time when both families get together although we don't do it as often as we used to.

I do but it is all a great deal of fun. Having the company helps.

My wife is Italian with a huge family, and it's at our house this year. Is there no refuge?
Besides that, I hate turkey, and stuffing, and cranberries, and green beans, and is Domino's gonna be open?

I was hoping to go north and visit the family, but now I have to work the Friday after Thanksgiving. So it looks like I'll be home alone. :(

Update: Going to the boss's house for dinner and football. He's always well-stocked with a variety of brews!

Um... eat?

L_0|_

The interesting thing is, we eat chicken instead of turkey. Nobody in my family likes turkey except for me!

Thursday i go to family friends' house. Saturday i go to Grammaw's/grappaw's house :)

Just enjoying the weekend... with my guitar...
