What plans do you have for Thanksgiving Day?

My Wife and I will be staying home this year and have a quiet Dinner. My Son and his Girlfriend whom we took in a few months back will be going to both of her Parents Homes since they are no longer together so thats two meals for them. I am not going to push for them to eat with us since she now lives with us anyway.

That sounds complicated cvilleiera but what isn't these days. So long as you'r together. That's what counts.

I'll be doing my Christmas Vacation Chevy Chase impersonation hanging off the side of my roof putting up lights. I don't care for Football and I don't like to be inside on a nice day. I settle down at night to play guitar.

Best Wishes,

Hello Cvilleira,

I be unloading 2 intermodal trains from
Chicago that'll be bringing all of the
local's Christmas wishes.

Gotta make hay when the sun shines.

Cheers.

I was hoping to go north and visit the family, but now I have to work the Friday after Thanksgiving. So it looks like I'll be home alone. :(

You must live in Canada the second Monday of October. At least having it on a Thursday here in the U.S. a lot of places give you off work with pay for Thursday and Friday making a 4 day weekend :D You gota love that!

But a lot of places wouldn't give you the Friday off.
For some companies it would be easy to give those days off--but for a lot of companies that deal directly with the public--they couldn't give you both off.

Yes thats true my Sons Girlfriend is a Manager for a large Retailer she will be working that Friday for sure . Now Johns Hopkins gives the Wife and I two days off when ever a Holiday falls on either Tuesday or Thursday you always get the day before or after. Of course I am off on Medical leave and just hope Hopkins still has my Rigging job when I can return but not looking good.

As it turns out, I'll be in the middle of a chemo treatment week, so although we've been invited somewhere, my wife will have a standby plan if needed. :?

The wife and I are going to some friends house for dinner. I am bringing the mesquite smoked turkey (I do it myself) and the mashed potatoes with shallots and parsley. Yum! After dinner we will watch some football and play some guitar! My son's best friends are our friends kids so it all works out well. Just one big happy family!

Oh, and if you need a recipe for the easiest cranberry relish you can make, just let me know. It kicks A$5!

I cook a huge traditional Turkey dinner at my house and as many of the family that can be here are. It's usually 4 generations of my wife's family. We have a blast!!!!!!
