Thanks to hi-fi-guy for information on my speakers. Here's what I got....they are 1971 fender PA speakers, 8" horn tweeter by Oxford, 3-12" subs by CTS, all original. I have links to 3 photos if interested. What I would like to find out is insurance value....I haven't found ANYTHING on the net about any type of PA speakers made in 1971. If anyone knows anything, please help me out!

Thanks in advance,

Catman

I would be totally amazed if those were actually 12" subs in those enclosures (if they are indeed original). They typically loaded that type of PA column with a 12" midrange and some sort of tweeter. I still don't know where they came up with the idea of a "Sub Woofer" anyways. A woofer is a woofer. The spec's are the same.
Regardless, those used to pretty high efficiency units in their hayday. I would personally load them up today with 12" JBL high output mids. Get a separate set of low end enclosures, and if the tweeters are still in good shape you would have a nice start on a well balanced system.

Well if its a PA it should have full range speakers instead of guitar speakers. Sorry, can't offer any more.
