Its been awhile, but the last "gig" I had I made my determination on what to bring by thinking about how many trips I would have to make to the car, what I can keep an eye on to make sure it doesn't get broken, and how long it would take me to pack up in case there was some sort of uninvited law enforcement arriving or ulitmate redneck fights breaking out...

The venue & the genre of music has the biggest impact on the choice of gear for the gig. Though, with the versatility of my rig, the gear that is mentioned below does the works (unless the back-line is provided).

My main bass (Fender RB V Sig. Jazz Bass). Bag full of quality cables, Barber Electronics Linden EQ, Stewart World 2.1 Power Amplifier...in a very light SKB Roto Rack, & a Epifani UL310-S 2 cabinet (light weight).

I do take special care to never leave my bass out of my sight. I can't replace or put the miles on another one. I got to use this bass, it is my sound.

The rig itself is pretty portable and has a great strength-to-weight ratio. My budget at this point doesn't permit to many cabinet options (sizes), so the 310 has to be the one-size-fits-all tone tool. Otherwise I will eventually add a Epifani 2x10 for small gigs. The tone is studio clean with this combination.
