What kind of tuner do you use to perform intonation on your guitar(s)? Should I be happy with my Korg CA-30 (accurate to 1 cent) or should I look to upgrade to something else?

Thanks _ Doug

I use my Korg as well. Works like a charm!

Dunno why but my little Boss TU-80 just seems more stable and less susceptible to overtones than the Korg. A rather quiet metronome built in, too. Either's fine, though.

In line, I go with a Boss TU-2 - like nearly everyone else on the planet...

Cheers - C

+1 more on the Korg tuner, and a screwdriver helps too  I don't know, I guess you could get some expensive strobe tuner to do it, but I think most people's hearing is not that finely tuned enough to notice any slight differences...A guy I know who's been playing professionally since the 70s says they used to never worry about intonation back then...don't know how true that is, but thats part of the reason why I don't worry about it too much after using my Korg tuner...

Peterson StroboStomp with 100% true bypass switching. There is an active DI built in and it was constructed to take the abuse of the road.

I concur with all posts before me, but it is a good idea to have your guitar strobe tuned by a pro. guitar teck

Korgs are fine. The susceptibility to overtone is easily cured by setting the guitars tone to zero and selecting the neck pickup. It keeps all the harmonics out of the signal.
The only tuners reccomended by Buzz feinten are peterson and korg. Myself i use anything that comes to hand, usually my daughters piano.

Hello Dugger,

Count me in as a Korg CA-03 user.
A great value.

Cheers.

Intonation is the accuracy of pitch in playing or singing.

I use a Sabine STX-1100.
Also have the Katsura "Strobe Tuner" app on my Mac.

Mostly use my ears tho

A Boss or a Korg. Either works like a champ.
