I am looking into obtaining a wireless system. I want to get one in the $70.00 - $120.00 price range. It seems that there are a lot available from companies like Nady, Audio-Technica, etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Something I am interested in as well, (all the while trying to suppress GAS).

I'll be frank, i dont like them. They alter your tone too much for my liking unless you spend megabucks on a sennheizer state of the art job.
That is just my opinion of them though. You may well love em. The last one i tried was the Bug that just plugs into your guitar. It was a lot better than some i've tried. You may well like the tonal difference, especially if your fond of compression.
All i can reccomend is to try a few out.

Other than a few top of the line models (way out of your price range), I don't like them at all either. They get flakey, mess with your tone, some cell phones nearby even make them hum, they pick up all kinds of garbage signals in the area, just too much to mess with. I'd rather have a good, solid cable I can count on.

I have been using the 2 channel VHF Nady wireless 3D since 1990 & I absolutely love it
& use it all the time, we don't have a sound man in the band so being wireless I can roam around the venue & check out the over all sound of the band plus I can get away from the blaring sound of my amp, it's a bit easier on the ears & I never accidentally pull out my guitar cord by stepping on it also people seem to get into having a real live musician jamming right in front of them. just do it , but if you go cheap you get what you paid for
