Like many of you here I have my own opinions and biases as well as strong support for who I think should be in office after this election comes to a close. There are people out there that would like to see the destruction of our great country. People who would like to divide and conquer us, and people who want nothing less than to see us fail, but there is one certainty. We need to rally around whomever becomes our next president. This person will need all the prayers and support we can offer. Today I cast my vote, and if my candidate should lose I will back the winner 100%. He will have an enormous job to do. When the last ballot is counted lets stand united.

And, since this is, after all, the Fender Forum:

just like yesterday.
Then I get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again."

That is a nice thought but I think after this election we will be devided more then ever. Been heading that way for 16 years. Politics has just become Party Warfare.

whoa Jeffro that is a huge generalization don't you think? Generalization is what racism is all about. The folks that voted for the other guy had their reasons each individually good and valid. There might be some bad ones in there but I wouldn't say they are all racists.
I voted for Obama because I think he is the right person for the job.

I wish this thread to be blocked there are plenty of other places for politics on the web. This should not be here.

I just read what you posted about the millions of racists being out there. Apparently who did not vote for Obama. You should read what you post.

I sincerely hope America doesn't have to listen to this kind of divisive rhetoric for the next 4 years, especially on the Fender forum.

Just my opinion Ok?

It looks like to me that Mr. Obama used anything and everything he could to win this election - including using racism as a tool. Re-read that - racisim - AS A TOOL. A tool to gain his own agenda.

And that goes against what Doctor M.L. King was all about. His message I believe was all about UNITY and equality. Not division because of one person being different from another.

My choice for president lost. And as you can imagine, I'm not happy about that. HOWEVER, it was said that more people came out and voted than EVER before - that's good! - and that is now a part of our history.

Voting for your choice is one of the great things about this country - and the freedom to do so. That, and other freedoms, should be closely guarded and protected. Because there is always somebody around that wants to take away or hinder those freedoms. Some of the other forums are that way, which is why I don't participate or support them. As was pointed out, freedom of speech is one of those valuable freedoms. If you aren't careful, you'll wake up one day and there won't be any "freedom" left anymore. And always remember - the price for that freedom was blood.

If a person doesn't want to read someone else's opinion - then skip it and go to something else. That way BOTH have their freedom. Not just one that complains loudly.

This election was playing to the race card - but was actually more about right versus wrong - good against evil.

I can only hope now, that Mr. Obama is a better man than I have thought him to be. We shall see. Because one thing is for sure - for better or for worse (can it get much worse?) we are stuck with him for at least the next four years.

I REALLY, REALLY hope I am proved wrong on this one. Time will tell.

The liberal news media finally succeeded in throwing an election and getting their man in. Of course they were helped a great deal by the economic collapse.

I say GOOD LUCK America, and GOD BLESS America - we're going to need it!

As for me - I'm "Forting Up" - getting ready for the attacks - so to speak. Stock up on essentials, but buy or sell nothing else. It's time to concentrate on two things and that is survival - at least for now - And keeping those freedoms that cost us so dearly - and that cost was paid by ALL, from all walks of life.

It may be wishful thinking but,
Peace
