Say what you will but this is the best guitarist poll results I have ever seen. I mean have you read the ones done by Rolling Stone or Spin? They truly are hacks at those magazines. At least the ask people who opinions were well informed.

While I totally don't agree with the rankings by number, there is quite a few of who I would consider to be top guitarists on that list. Loomis should be next to Yngwie and Al Dimeola should be above both of them, and Andreas Segovia should be at the top... :wink:

As expected, metal guitarists are over-represented. I never saw a poll I came even close to agreeing with. I suspect everyone else feels the same way, too.

I could name another 20 or more guitarist's, who should be on that list. These poll's are always the same, I don't think I've ever seen one even come close.
