I would like to know if anyone knows. Why is the Kenny wayne shepherd signature guitar delayed on release. The 3-tone sunburst and arctic white southern cross are not released until tomorrow. But the black and silver racing stripes were due the 3rd of October it's 3 weeks late. Why?

Maybe it's the Gilmour project, or the Malmsteen??

I wasn't even aware that he had one out. It seems that they're giving anybody a signature model now.

It's all about the cash my brother. If people will buy it, Fender will make it. The situation is kind of sad really. Once every artist has a "signature model", they won't be special anymore.

No disrespect meant to KWS, his stuff is fantastic. I just think that only the "Legends" should have signature models.

I'd like to know what they mean by "Custom Voiced" pickups. I can't wait to try one when they come to Guitar Center.

I suppose that has the same connotation as Mayer's 'scooped midrange'.
Wound to produce a sound which meets the approval of the tonal color the artist is seeking.

It's been done before.

I know it must be all about the money. I contacted Fender about my Custom Shop Biloxi23 signature model and they didn't even bother to give me a reply other thatn they said it would not be econimically feasible. this was even after I told them I would waive all fees and would only require two guitars of this very special model, one in two tone suburst and one in Crimson Red Transparent. Can you believe that?

Yeah, but I wonder what he had done to his pick ups. Mayer comes right out and tells you he had the mids scooped (I love the Mayer Strat pick ups BTW). Judging by his tone, I bet they're "Hotter" Texas Specials, or Tex-Mex.

"Nothing special"

I can't think of anyone more deserving of those two words than KWS. But I do like Noah Hunt's voice. :D
