First riff the main one from Black Dog by Led Zep.
First full song The Shortest Straw by Metallica.
Both of them took a while!.

wow! black dog?
thats pretty intense for a first song.

It is!.
I was really focused in getting just the main riff right, so much that it was the ONLY thing i could play for several months! hehe.....it was worth it though. 8)

I admire your determination

the first song I learned to play was holiday by greenday (not my choice, but I like the song anyway)

But even to this day I cant play it that great (I learned it back in march when I started playing)

The first song that I learned and could play well was Glycerine by bush (nice and simple song)

The first riff I learned was Zep's Black Dog (with teacher in 2nd lesson) I'm still kinda new to the guitar world but have almost gotten through Fear of the Dark by Iron Maiden. Workin' my way through the solo but the rest sounds good so far.

Not realy a song but a 12 bar blues playing rhythm guitar.
Chords and riffs.
First proper song maybe ''Hey Joe'', the Jimi Hendrix version.

Not counting Twinkle Twinkle Little Star during one of my first lessons in 1970, the first real song was "I've Never Been To Spain" by Three Dog Night.

What can I say, it was big at the time.
