Fake Plastic Trees by the sadly-quiet-of-late Radiohead.

So simple yet so powerful. Still love bashing that one out, much to my neighbour's chagrin.

Amazing Grace
Simple Man - Skynryd
Rocking Me Baby - Steve Miller

For all those who say Smoke on the Water, did you learn the riff like it's actually played by Blackmore or did you just learn to make the riff sound. There's a huge difference because anyone can make the sound, but the actual riff is serious stuff.

When I first started out, I was reading music and when I learned the first position notes on the e and b, I learned Ode to Joy. It's funny because six years later I find my fingers still absent-mindedly playing it. The first real song I learned was Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes and my teacher played along on drums and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

First riff for me was "Free bird".

First full song was "Highway Song" by Blackfoot.

Then came Rush, Kiss, Yes, and Aerosmith. That's when I knew I was going to need a bigger amp!

I was really focused in getting just the main riff right, so much that it was the ONLY thing i could play for several months! hehe.....it was worth it though. 8)

I learned Heart of Gold by Neil Young and Knockin on Heavens Door. 2 great songs. Then I learned Folsom Prison Blues, and then a bunch of Clapton and Beatles
