everyone has a song that they distinctly remember as being the first they learned when they started playing guitar - what was yours?

mine was otherside by the red hot chili peppers. i still remember how stoked i was to finally be able to play a whole song (especially one that i loved) - it's funny looking back at it now because the song's so simple but i felt on top of the world for learning it.

Mary had a little lamb? I think that was on a flute-a-phone. Or just like heaven by the cure.

The first song I could really play was "I'd Love to Change the World" by Ten Years After. I heard it on the radio the day I got my guitar and tried to figure it out. I couldn't, so I asked my teacher, and he couldn't, but he then introduced me to the wonderful world of internet tabs, and I learned it from there.

You mean play well or just play, clear that up for me if you would. I say that because I'm dumber than a box of rocks.

One day I'll be a rockstar !!

just play, or play well - either or.

if you can just play it now i'm sure you'll be able to play it well in no time with a little practice. everyone has to start some where!

You mean I am supposed to learn an actual song??? In all seriousness the first song I learnt all the way through was Sunshine of Your Love. Second was Day Tripper. I still am trying to learn to play them well though.
