Theme from The Addams Family?

Or anything from Nightmare Before Christmas. Good stuff.

For some reason I have always viewed Maxwells Silver Hammer as a Halloween song since the first time I heard it was on Halloween.

"Ghost Riders" is likely public domain and no doubt you can Google this. Was a big 'cowboy' song hit for Tex Ritter, (John Ritter's dad) I believe, and one of the regular set numbers that I used to play with my band years ago, as well as,(in that you mention "The Ventures",)...'Walk, Don't Run', of course.

BB King's got an excellent new album, One Kind Favor, which includes a number by Blind Lemon Jefferson called See That My Grave Is Kept Clean.

BB's scared of nothing!

One of my favorites but it may not be public domain yet:

"It was written on June 5, 1948 by Stan Jones. [1] A number of versions were also crossover hits on the pop charts in 1949."

From:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Riders_in_the_Sky

The article also has a list of many artists who've recorded it.

The page below ... at the bottom ... has a brief bit about what prompted Jones to write the song:
