Anyone have two of the same model? I like the Nashville Telecaster so much that I have one with a maple neck and another with a rosewood neck. The same thing but with something different.

Not identical twins, but a 72 Reissue Thinline (natural) and a 68 Reissue (Lake Placid Blue) -- both with maple necks. The 1st cousin is my Hwy 1 Sunburst Tele and then of course there's Uncle Strat.

I have purposely bought different guitars each time I got a new one. I prefer a variety of sounds & styles of guitar. I play each one a little differently--the closest are either my Les Paul copy & my Les Paul--although they sound different due to different materials & pickups. The copy has normal frets, the Gibson has those "fretless wonder" frets. They sound quite different.

And that doesn't really count because the copy was my first electric that my parents bought for me, the Gibson I bought years later with my own money.

Any future guitars would also be different than what I have--unless I ever need a backup.

I have what I call "fraternal twins," in that both my MIM Tele and MIM Strat are 3-color Sunburst/Maple, with white/black/white pickguards. The Tele is a 2005 model, while the Strat is a 1996 model, so that's where the similarities end.

I have 2 American Strats. One stock 2007 Black with Maple fretboard, and the other a 2004 Chrome Blue with Rosewood fretboard and CS 69 pickups.

Not-identical triplets, but all maple-boarded.

Red AS Stratocaster, Surf Green MIM 50s Stratocaster, Polka Dot MIM Buddy Guy Strat.

Being a good parent, no favourite.

I have two 2004 American Standard strats with the 50th aniversary neck plates. (Not to be confused with the real 2004 50th Aniversary American strat.)

They are both three-color sunburst. One has a maple fingerboard and the other is rosewood. I have the rosewood set up with 10 to 46 Blue Steel strings and it is my main blues bender. I have the maple set up 10 to 52 Blue Steel and use it for songs where I want a good chordal tone plus the ability to bend.

They both weigh about 7 pounds. They are both hardtails and hold a great tune with me just pounding them to death. Such solid instruments!

Not quite twins . . .

I have a pair of sunburst Strats -- an '05 Amer. Series w/maple fretboard, and an '02 Hwy1 w/rosewood.
