The first listen didn't do much for me until it hit around the 3:00 mark...then I heard a little bit of guitar. :?

Ahhh ... but what does our resident Beatles afficianado (Blue Jay Way)think??? We need him to chime in here.

Thank you very much indeed. IMHO

The last McCartney albums to really touch me were Flaming Pie, Run Devil Run (with David Gilmour) and of course Flowers in the Dirt (with Elvis Costello & Gilmour), which is a masterpiece. Off the Ground unfortunately never lived up, but "Biker Like an Icon" was a good number.

80's McCartney was tough, kinda like the Stones, a few good numbers here and there. He came out strong in the early and late 80’s but that’s it. "No More Lonely Nights" is a great example – again with the incredible David Gilmour. Don’t get me started on the MJ stuff;)
Chaos and Creation in the Backyard is a great album.
The new song, for me, will have to grow on me, but from first listen, it builds and builds, but never goes anywhere. But looking back through the mists of time that was the 70’s, it took me a while to really think Venus and Mars was a good album, if you have not listened to that album in a while, do so! But if Paul comes out with a new album, I’ll buy it. Simply because he is who he is, and his passion for what he has always done all these years, create great music, liked or disliked.

But if you want to know who I think was the most talented, post Beatle musician, that title goes to the late George Harrison.

I listened to it, kind of a lot of reverb, couldn't make out the words, it's not a song I would cover with my band, it's ok for Sir Paul

I'm a Beatles fan, and I like a lot of what Paul does, but I didn't like this one.

Yes, I concur.

But 14 songs in 14 days...what can you expect from an old guy. :?:

If I wasn't told this was Mac, I might not have recognized him. It's a bit different for him.

If I hadn't been told who it is I would have probably guessed it was either him or Phil Keagy. But the music is different for both. The music is much better than what he made while Heather was in his picture. The stuff he put out while she was around was crap, IMO. This sounds different from other stuff he's done, but I believe it could grow on me.

I thought it was real good! I have been a life long fan of the Beatles as well as the boys on their own. I hope the two remaining continue for as long as possible. If you ever want to really think about the "Best" ... IMO its these guys :D

A Wings reunion would be a cool tour.
