1st concert was Pink Floyd, March 18th, 1973 – The Palace Theater, Waterbury, Connecticut

No, I did not take acid, but a lot of people did that night, and boy did they get freaked out by the quadraphonic sound!

My first show wasn't too long ago. Back in 2001 Chicago I saw Oasis and the Black Crows tour together as they split headlining duties. To this day Oasis remains one of my favorite bands. It was a sweet show playing all the old and British hits from that point.

Needless to say, my fare city was relatively pissed that Oasis did not close out the night. I kid you not but at that time a good portion of the house cleared out after their set. I stuck around till the end and I continued to laugh as I heard plenty of folk continue to say how much they wished Oasis closed rather than the Black Crows.

I saw Clapton right after 461 Ocean Boulevard was released. Bought the high dollar tickets. $8.00 apiece. How much are they now?

The very first real concert I went to was The Allman Brothers Band with Wet Willie opening. I believe that might have been 1973.

You never forget your first concert. The first one I went to was at Merriweather Post Pavilion and the show was Johnny Winter and Foghat what a show that was 1973 then in 1974 it was Eric Clapton at the Capital Center in fact he played there twice that year and we could no get tickets for the second show. I saw some nice concerts at Capital Center in the 70's like Rolling Stones 75,and Led Zeppelin 77 and since I have lived with in 15 minutes of Merriwether most my life I saw a lot of concerts there and still do but not like it used to be.

I've seen most of my heroes except the Beatles and Eric. I'll catch EC one day.

My first real concert was the Beach Boys, Kinks, and Doors (without Morrison) at Dillon Stadium, Hartford, CT in the summer of '72. The opening act was The Fluorescent Leech (Flo) and Eddie who used to be called The Turtles.
