You're lucky.
My first concert was a really bad screamo band. Have fun

Congratulations! EC puts on a whale of a show...Enjoy and absorb..

My first show was Gary Puckett and the Union Gap - and that dates me...

Good Score! Enjoy it...concerts are cool...too expensive these days, though. The last concert I saw was Rush in Sunrise, Fl...the father of my son's drummer works for a company that has a box at Bank Atlantic Center...nothing like a free concert. My first (and here I am definitely dating myself!) was Jimi Hendrix and the Soft Machine in April 1968.

I've seen Clapton a few times, it's always a great night! You'll have a blast, first band I saw live was Queen. I think it was circa 79-79, unforgetable 8)

The long list on the right side lists news about Eric.

The first two items are for future concerts. However they are taking place in New Zealand and Australia in March, and then on to Ireland and England in May.

Just click on one of the links in the news list. They will take you to - http://www.whereseric.com/ecfaq/concerts/clapton-future-concert-appearances-concert-calendar-tour-schedule.html which lists the details, including where and when you can get tickets. This page is on the Eric Clapton Fan Club site.

Hope this helps,

Saw Clapton on his "From The Cradle" tour at Madison Square Garden. Had great floor tickets until some 10 ft giant stood up 6 rows ahead and stayed there all evening. Fortunately, most of the tour had been extensively covered on public TV prior.

First serious concert was Chuck Berry at the Filmore East in NYC back in the 60's and I was at the last U.S. performance of "Tommy" at the NYC Metropolitan Opera House. It was the first time rock music had ever been performed there.

Interestingly enough, I was not a frequenter of the classic rock and roll shows of the 50's.

My first real concert (not counting classical/chamber/classical guitar) was Chicago, but when they still went by CTA. This was shortly after the original release of the first album and they had them for the summer series at our local hockey arena. It cost a whopping $5! (Also saw the Ides of March that same summer -- same price.)

Chicago played at the nearby major city after the successful re-release the following year (I think) and they sure weren't $5 anymore.
