if you want the classic wah sound there is no substitute for a VOX. Jimi and Stevie both used the VOX so it sure as heck good enough for me!

So you bought it without trying it out with your rig - because they used it??

I've got the VOX wah and it works normally,
is yours running on battery? if so how is its condition?
Dieing batteries can cause equipment to do some strange things .

My Vox Wah does the same thing, but only when I send the signal the wrong way through it. Like the sound David Gilmour make on Echoes.

I've got a Dunlop Hendrix brand wah and it has been really good for a long time. Lately though, it has started to pick up radio stations really badly at the high end of the pedal, and I want to get another one that sounds just like my first one.

I am running it off 9v DC power. The signal is going through the correct way. I am hoping somone has this problem before and knows what it is or how to fix it. I am just trying to save some troubleshooting time.

I had an issue with my Chorus. I had just changed out the battery a couple weeks ago. The LED light was still bright red but I was getting poor sound. I thought it was time for a new chorus pedal. On a whim I changed out the batery again. It sounds great again. Maybe this is the case for you? Change the battery (even if you just did). Hope that works.

I was at a studio yesterday and they had a BBE wah and it sounded unbelievable. One of the engineers was trying to describe the different sound of the Fasel inductors vs the BBE model with a Halo inductor.

http://www.bbesound.com/products/stomp_ ... /index.asp

The yellow Fasel is thin and lacks the vocal quality of most any wah. The red Fasel and the stock Dunlop inductor seem indistinguishable.
