i am a bass player. i have been playin bass for five years. i am currently in a christian rock band called second glimpse. we travel all over kentucky and indiana. i currently own six basses. i have a standard fender jazz bass, a standard fender precision bass, and my favorite, i have a '69 fender precision bass. i own a couple of ibanezes, and a 5-string peavey millenium. but i do have to say, out of all the years i have been playin, i am a fender man all the way. sure people have their preferences, but i bought my first fender in 2005, and i have never turned back. u can argue with me on what bass to play, but you cant convince me to play anything but fender basses. not to brag, but the people that have heard me playin in the band or doin one of my solos, they have said im the best bassist they ever heard. if your reading this, email me sometime. ill be glad to send pictures of all my basses that i own.

I concur. The Fender bass has a sound that seems to stick to anything you record or perform with. I have found the Fender precision or jazz bass is idiot proof. If things are not working out, I know it isn't the gear!

P.S. Check out the new Fender American Standard V's.

I am not a bass player so many years ago I sold a sunburst 70 p-bass well it was more a trade for a guitar and some cash  Thats one I wish I did not do because it was one of the best sounding basses I have had the pleasure to play on.

Hiya BigMac.
Show us your basses eh mate?

Hows the gig too. We never get much opportunity for Christian rock in the UK. The last gig i was offered was worship team. I dont think i fit that roll too well.
