As the story goes, i was at the shop saturday, and i really wanted to play the highway one. i picked it up, and tried it out, first without amp, then with a marshall mg100dfx, because only few were actually plugged in, and this was the best. This guitar sounded amazing, and all my good assumptions were right. the pickups rock, and the playability is great. I also played a thinline tele, i think it was a '69 reissue, and it was good, but i now realized that strats are my kind of guitars. My first experience with a USA strat :) :) :D

Well, maybe on graduation i'll get my very own hwy 1 strat. Till then i gotta work my way up.

Well, glad to hear about your happy experience. I know that I adore my 02 Highway One. They are great guitars...

Highway One guitars are wonderful. I played a Highway 1 Strat HSS and I could of swore that thing sounded HOTTER than half the girls in school. I was going to get it, but someone bought it. You would of too if you had heard the thing.

I also played a Highway One Tele, but not too long ago the store totally swapped the stock pups in it for EMGs. I'm baffled why, it doesn't sound near the same guitar any more.

Highway Ones are the most "Bang for the Buck" Fenders out there right now (IMHO). You just can't go wrong.
