For blues, it would have to be Double Trouble (Stevie Ray Vaghan), and for metal, it would have to be Children of Bodom (Alexi Laiho).

for me it'd probably have to be Muse

but talking solo it'd be John Mayer (as my name would suggest)

I would say Red Hot Chili Peppers as far as a band goes, but I like to listen to John Frusciante's solo stuff just as much

It wasnt there choice all there neighbors in Woodstock and Bob Dylan called them that and when it was time for "Music From Big Pink" 's release they just used The Band and theyve stated they have no name but The Band is so they can be filed in record stores check them out.Wikipedia's version:They began writing their own songs in a rented large pink house in West Saugerties (near Woodstock). When they went into the recording studio, they still didn't have a name for themselves. They wanted to call themselves either "The Honkies" or "The Crackers", but these names were vetoed by their record label, who dubbed them "The Band" on the first pressings of Big Pink. Initially, they disliked the moniker, but eventually grew to like it, thinking it both humble and presumptuous.
