Well the poll ended.
Thanks to those that choose to participate. :)

I can only hope that this poll in some way reflects what the results will be in a few days.

You folks have been a much nicer, friendlier, crowd than I expected. (thumbs up)

Thanks! :)

Thanks for your post, I wish a lot more people would think! I bought a bumper(guitar case)sticker that says: Think, its not illegal yet
What is nice about this forum is that we can all express ourselves and choose to disagree or agree agreeably. I have read all the posts on your topic, and I want to say that I can see you are a man who is a thinker.
I think America has been dumbed down purposely, and blunted by the constant retoric streaming from all points of the globe in Hi-Def.
We are constantly barraged by who did this, who did that, who is really to blame for this or that. It sickens me that some people become so entranced by the belief that the news media companies are the Gospel of John, and always have your best interest at heart. I'm just glad that some people take all they hear and see with a grain of salt. Wow Im runnning on, sorry
Anyway good job!
And yes, I buy Fender
ROCK ON!

Thanks jayro!

You are very right. People need to think for themselves, and not just blindly accept what the biased liberal media wants to feed us.

If (big IF) people would look at the real facts - Bush has been a very good president. But the media keeps attacking him. Reminds me of the part in the original post about if you scream loud enough and long enough ..... a lie is accepted as the truth.

I just hope it's not too late. According to that media, which can not be trusted at all, many have already voted for the "wrong" side. I hope that is just more of their "hype" and "spin" (we used to call it lies)

Your post was greatly appreciated....and I agree with you 100%. It does my heart good to know that there are still people out there that know the truth about our country's history and where we could end up if we don't learn from our past. I encourage you to Keep on saying it loudly.. because If someone will believe a lie if it is said enough .... Then maybe they will recognize the truth if it is spoken loudly and often enough also.

Thanks axerckr.

I have been trying to get the word out everywhere I can.

Unfortunately, it seems there are some that would rather believe a lie they like, instead of the truth. It seems they just "turn off" the truth when it's presented to them, and go back to embrace the lies.

The good news, I guess, is that 'some' do listen and turn to the right way. :D

I am an 'old dude' too, I'm 62, and have been a professional musician for nearly 45 years. I was at the first Woodstock, was probably the only long-haired guy there that had the smarts enough NOT to touch any drugs, even when offered for free, as some were laced with nasty junk and very dangerous. I'm no 'angel' either..... I don't imbibe, but I am a smoker. (cigs only)

Anyway, it seems to me that evidence shows 'We, the People' don't really elect the President, no matter how the popular vote goes. Bush got in on his Dad's coat-tails and his Florida Governor-Brother's "Fix". No doubt the 2nd term was bought as well. When people like Ted Kennedy don't go to jail for his pregnant secretary's death, (which he was clearly responsible for), we see that people in power get away with it when they can pull the right strings. Ted's dad was no better than Al Capone, but Al was low-life and the Kennedy's were high class. Makes all the difference as to WHO you know &/or are related to..... and that is also historical FACT.

"They" (whom-ever THEY are) took out JFK, RFK and others that weren't half as controversial as Obama. The news said an assassination plot was thwarted..... as if "They" won't try again? How can I vote for a man that MAY not live to take office? If I vote for the other guy I just might be saving his opponent's life and the entire country a lot of confusion & grief. Then again, I've never voted for a winner, so I just quit wasting my time.

Religion & Politics will always be heated topics and garner the angriest responses from the blindest, most indoctrinated followers. We all should be very aware that every religion's bottom line is: "We're right and everybody else is wrong." Sadly, when you've been brain-washed by your own family since birth, you tend to believe in it so strongly you'll fly a plane into a building to prove it, yet it proves nothing BUT brain-washing.

History has shown us that nearly EVERY time science could prove that some 'ancient information' was wrong, religious 'leaders' did whatever it took to squash it and keep it from the masses, including murdering the proponents. History also shows that NO ideology is above eliminating, by ANY means, its opposition; although 'right' usually &/or eventually prevails, it's no guarantee for the short term, as in here & now.

I don't harbor any ill-will for anyone anywhere who has none for me, but there is always some greedy SOB out there who wants what I have and THAT crap should be priority #1 by ANY means necessary, no matter if they are after a penny, my FENDER equipment or my life.
Speaking of pennies..... that's my (open-minded) 2 cents.

What a bunch of c**p. I teach World and American history, and this is just a typical "lesson" of someone who is both simplistic and blind to the REAL economic, social, and political problems that America is currently trying to cope with now, not during WW II.

America is a country that is made up of middle of the road folks struggling to maintain their jobs, homes, life savings, and most of all, their dignity. The extremists on both ends of the political spectrum are the ones who stir the pot and divide this great nation of ours. [/b]

Who was bush's only opposition. Al Gore, and his wife Tipper who's always pulled his strings. Imagine having the PMRC on a govermental scale.

When compared to the idea of Tipper running the country George was a good choice.

The biggest problem with world history is that, for the most part, a huge percentage isn't very accurate. The 'records' are almost always from the conqueror's POV as little is left or allowed from the conquered. My aunt and her aunt were history teachers and I heard about the inaccuracies quite a bit, especially when I helped grade tests. The governments of nations just love mis-information, especially in recent history, all in the name of "National Security"..... a fact that goes back hundreds and hundreds of years, all over this planet's multitude of 'Kingdoms' and subsequent Empires. To re-phrase: The more the crap changes, the more it reeks of the same innocuously disgusting olfactory repugnance.

I know all teachers try their best, but a lie believed is a lie repeated. No teacher wants to contradict information given in their obligatory manuals, even when they know better. My experience in school turned out to be superficial BS when I dug deeper into facts passed over and left out. The famous Monkey Trials shows us that 'truth' is just another POV. In the end, one must open their eyes and sort it out for themselves accordingly. It's just too bad so many do it with the proverbial 'rose-colored glasses' or else rely on 'winged' opinions. I don't, however, see any argument here, as such fixed minds rarely change anything for the better. Conflict is better left to a chess board than a sharp sword, yet history chronicles the conflicts more than anything else, war after war. Is this to be mankind's primary legacy?

Lastly, this nation IS the middle-class. Neither the rich (who get out of it) nor the poor pay taxes.... and the middle class is rapidly shrinking. Where will the money come from to support any government when we become a Gap society.... where you are either rich or poor and nothing in between?
