I was going to suggest the same idea. I have seen a Prestige style kit on e-bay. Depends on the bucks you want to spend.

The body I would make myself, but the neck and pickups ect. I would not! Anyways, good luck with this project of yours........ :wink: :lol: :P :D

Im in the process of gathering the bits to build my own guitar. Check out the book by Melvyn Hiscock as it is very informative.
One sound bit of advice I seem to keep reading is to get a clear idea of what you want to achieve ie humbuckers or single coil, how many pups etc and stick to it.
I have a piece of maple for the body, which I will cut when I have finished my MDF template but I have purchased a ready made neck, as although I am a carpenter by trade, there are a lot of non standard, specialist tools required.
