The slickest band name I ever saw was the F L I C K S . Most places they played had signs with individual letters.... SOME one ALWAYS moved the L & I together to make a U !!! What a hoot!

In the 50's there were comic book companies that banned, or at east discouraged, the use of the word flick--for the simple reason that comics are lettered with CAPS, and depending on the printing, the letters could merge together--so "Flick" was not a good idea.

Apparently, the horse-book "My Friend Flicka" had it's type-set problems.

brings to mind one of the BEST names for a band I've ever seen, which was: "Keel the Puppet"

I seem to remember that name for some reason. I grew up in Utica and played in the CNY area from the late 60s into the late 70s and left (for a job) in 79. I don't remember if I ever heard the band though or just if the name has stuck all these years.

Yes, an unusual moniker for a band. Very unique! Whomever coined it was probably inspired by names like: Mott the Hoople

If you lived in the Utica, NY area and are now in SoCA, keep an eye out for any band that has a bass player named Mike DelaGala. Left-handed, Great bassist & monster vocal! (He was in the original Holiday & then Sail before also moving to CA.) Any group he'd be with would have to be fabulous, for sure.

You WOOD have to "in-grain" that one here, eh? LOL

Here's a name for you: the "Lost Marbles"

or: "Fog & the Frain Bartz"

( Suggestions by: Aunt Ardicka & Uncle Knuckles )

Do you know how Nome, Alaska got it's moniker? Someone wrote on the map next to the dot where the town was located: Name..... but the cursive scrawl was such that the 'a' looked like an 'o' ...... and it stuck.

Therefore, your duo's 'name' is now: the "Eye-Kneeda" Band

or else: "Knot-a Reel" Band

The "Sit-a-Round" Jam Band.... maybe?

Well after "Eye-Kneeda" Band
We could go "The Ike 'n Ed Band"
