Just a suggestion but you could do what I did with my username - take initials and use the NATO phonetic alphabet to give yourself a cool name!

Actually, we might have played one song by them. I can't remember since it was 12 years ago and we lasted about 2 gigs before a falling out. Even funnier is the next group I played with about a year later - the singer kept pushing the name "The Penetrators", but we opted for a different name to keep from offending the ladies.

There have been quite a few bands over the years that use a place for a name, especially US states, like Alabama, Kansas, Georgia Satellites, etc. Long ago I wanted to use "Nevada", but spelled with all A's: NAVADA. Maybe a pun on a state name would work as well? As in: Aura Gone, Mrs. Sippy, (the) Massa-Chew Zitz, Con Etiquette, (etc.) inspired by a great 'city-name' pun from the past: Tim Buck Three

Pun or not, state, city or any other 'place'.... an Atlas can certainly help. Go to the back and check the pages that list such; (location finder section). You should be able to come up with SOMETHING you like.

Thanks Rhumba! Say...... you could be in a band called Rum-Bah? LOL, or a group called "Move the H"....... brings to mind one of the BEST names for a band I've ever seen, which was: "Keel the Puppet" ..... or re-spelled as "Keil the Puppet" ..... if you like sausage better than a ship's hull beam.... Keil-Basa (Nova) hehehe

You've rumbled me Guitarman. I've spent a lot of time in Spain and I have, or had, no have a serious liking for Bacardi rum. And I have spent many nights propping bars up throwing it down my throat. Hence rum at the bar. Rumbar........yeh? but it's a nice way to spend a night.
Now Guitarman!!???.........Thats a tricky one

..... and here I thought 'Rhumba' was a dance/rhythm style/form. Yeah, my nick might be a tough pun, especially since I've never spent time tossing Alki-Haul down my E-sofa-gus. Can you say "Drunk as a Skunk" 40 times fast? Can you count that high when you are.... ? :P Do you mind a little bit of elbow in your ribs? 8)

No I'm cool Guitarman. But you'll have to write slower, I can't read very fast, and depending on the amount of rum I have determines how well I can count, or anything else for that matter.
When your having fun, who cares anyway ?

Rhumba.... you're OK dude. BTW, I'm (mostly) Brit as well, half Welsh (on my Mother's side..... Jones, Harrington & Davis) and my Dad was a bit of a mutt.... English, with a bit of Scot and probably some French or Corsican-Italian, we're not really sure due to adoption. However, we think he may have some connection to Joseph Barnett who was the 'boyfriend' of Mary Kelly, the last victim of JTR. I've suspected Joe MIGHT have been 'Jack' for years, even prior to the 100th (1988) anniversary. I do know that Joe had a sister, although I'm not sure about male siblings, whereby the sur-name would have carried on. Anyway, it's rather intriguing to think I could have a 'fiendish' bent, LOL.

Believe me, I write about as slow as it gets.... hunt & peck. THEN I copy to my eMail compose and use the spell-check, re-posting back here, hopefully with all my grammar proper as well. We all make mistakes BUT I hate to LOOK stupid..... sad to me that far too many just don't give a darn. I've tried to help people in chat rooms and they get ticked at me.... oh well, it's their loss. Funny too that most foreigners born to another language that chat in English are better at it then some native-born. SICK...... To me that says they have little respect for the mother-tongue and probably less for themselves. :(

It's 1 thing to use chat-shorthand like BTW or LOL, butt wen dey speek an rite lyk a dufuss, it telz use dat dare IQ iz own-lee 2 did-jetz. hehehehe

You're Ok yourself Guitarman and from what I've read in previous posts on other threads, you know your stuff with music and guitars as well.
Interesting point about the Ripper but I always thought it was James Maybrick, so as far as I'm concerned, your off the hook.

Thanks for your kudos, I appreciate it and respect your opinion. LOL, BUT:

Not so fast there matey. As you might expect, I've done a ton of research and come to a LOGICAL conclusion that few of the so-called 'experts' have ever even seriously considered. Check out my little poem about the subject and the dire facts that speak volumes.

The Ripper Zipper
(Or: Too Simple & So Obvious)

When are they going to wake up and discover....
"Jack" was Joe Barnett, Mary Kelly's former lover?
He worked as a porter, swiftly cutting up fish,
That came off the ships to the dock market's wish.

But he lost his job, and she went back to the streets....
To get money for rent, their drinks and some eats.
Then she turned to get comfort from prostitute friends....
Emasculation set in.... so he plotted their ends.

Inspired to rid him two birds in one kill,
The very first death saw Mary's cold chill.
All the women he silenced may have known him it seems,
Allowed him to stab and to slash without screams.

And he hoped it would scare Kelly back to his arms....
He wanted her love, adoration and charms.
But finally admitting.... he'd lost her completely,
She was his last, but not quite so neatly.

Scotland Yard did question this Mr. Barnett....
Insignificant and discounted, they saw him no threat.
Simple evidence fits.... when you realize that....
Joe still had a key to poor Mary's flat.

Most recently, a book by Patricia Cornwell brought up the issue about the paper that the 'Notes to the Police' were written on; IE: Watermarks. However, it is a contention of mine that Joe could have stolen the paper he needed to write those letters, or even bought or borrowed some of it from the thief > IF, in fact, HE was the actual author.

Finally, in keeping with this thread, I suggest the band names: The Rippers or The Zippers :P

The slickest band name I ever saw was the F L I C K S . Most places they played had signs with individual letters.... SOME one ALWAYS moved the L & I together to make a U !!! What a hoot!
