Extremely proud of my little brother!!!!!!

Chet,
You should be proud of him - the Navy nuke life can be a tough one. Tough on him and all of his family for that matter. I, for one, am grateful for his service. And I would appreciate it if you would pass that on to him.

I'm an old mustang - spent a number of years enlisted before I finished my engineering degree and got my commission. The nuke community tried real hard to convince me to accept placement in the nuclear instructor program. Almost did so - until it dawned on me that there was no career path as an instructor and I would end up "haze gray and underway" on one of those nuclear vessels...

So I went Civil Engineer Corps instead and played with the Seabees....
Still hard work but more shore time...

I didn't take a guitar with me.

We were pretty busy with other things most of the time.

I am in contact with my brothers at least once a week. Often times more than that.

Hey Chet, I notice that your relative graduated ET school. I graduated in '90, when did he finish 'A' school, just curious. I didn't really enjoy the job then, but I did have friends golore. I look back at it fondly now but only because of the people I knew. It's hard to believe I graduated 18 years ago...... Wow.
